We are Kindergarten
Giving our children an excellent start to education and their lives is of huge importance to us. This means enriching every child’s experience and helping them to discover a joy of learning. It also means creating magical moments and memories that are synonymous with kindergarten.
The word ‘kindergarten’ literally means ‘children’s garden’. At NKA we recognise that children are the seeds of our communities’ futures. In each of our 25 kindergartens located across Northland, our 100% qualified and trained teachers offer nurturing, empowering and culturally relevant early childhood education experiences for each and every child, helping tamariki to grow into self-confident individuals and lifelong learners.
We are Kindergarten for every child
Unlike private early education and childcare institutes, NKA is fully government-funded and not for profit. This means that 100% of funds go into quality resources and trained teachers, and into providing fees-free early childhood education for all children. At NKA, every child is valued, and every child is given equal opportunity to blossom.
