Nau mai. Haere mai.
Welcome to Dannevirke Central Kindergarten
and Te Whare Koha

At Central Kindergarten we pride ourselves on the relationships that we form with our families.
We believe we  are a community of learners and that learning is ongoing throughout our lifetimes. Children’s thinking and learning is supported and extended through a wide variety of experiences. We have a strong transition to school programme and are proud to provide a bi-cultural curriculum for our families.

Te Whare Koha

8.30am – 11.00am Wednesday (during term time)

Te Whare Koha is a purpose built whānau room attached to Dannevirke Central Kindergarten.

Te Whare Koha means the Home of Giving and is designed to be a safe, welcoming place for families.

Each Wednesday morning, during term time, a playgroup runs for children aged from birth to 3 years old. This is facilitated by Liza Carr and is designed to be a warm, welcoming space for parents to meet and chat, and a safe place for children to play.

Te Whare Koha also hosts workshops throughout the year – please phone the Kindergarten for information about these. They are open to the public and there may be a small Koha to attend.
